Children's Leader
My name is Cortney Powell. I am a wife to Eric Powell, mother of 3 home-schooled sidekicks, and an eternally grateful servant of Jesus. A few years ago he opened my eyes and woke me from the sleep I was living in. His magnification in my life has sent me on a hungry mission to know him as intimately as I can on this side of Heaven. I've been blessed along the way to be involved in the opportunity to sow into lives of little ones that will make a major impact in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matt. 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Children's Leader
Hello, my name is Sarah Geddes. I am a wife to Chris Geddes who helps keep me grounded and sane, and a mother of three awesome children who have helped me grow as a person, and have taught me through experience to lean on the Lord in every circumstance! I have worked with various children's ministries, and discipleship programs in California, Georgia, and now Oklahoma over the past 15 years, and I love it! I believe that children are extra special to God, and it is our responsibility to guide their hearts toward Him.
Children's Pastors
We are Steven & Danniel Green and we currently serve as the Childrens Pastors for ECC. We are blessed to have two beautiful children, Addison and Beckham, whom we currently homeschool. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it". We feel it is important to impart God's word and teachings into every aspect of our children's lives so that they can grow to be faithful disciples. We are honored for the opportunity to serve the Lord and teach the next generations about God's unfailing love and kindness.
It is important to us that we honor God in all we do and that we are food stewards with the talents and resources God has blessed us with. Before being called to homeschool, I spent most of my adulthood working in various roles in child development centers. I had the unique opportunity to work for Christian owners who were passionate and faithful leaders. Under their direction and God's guidance, this is where I learned what servant leadership is. - Danniel
I serve as a Deacon for ECC. I grew up in Michigan, where I was adopted by a loving husband and wife who had a lifelong commitment to serving the Lord. My father was a Pastor and my family was blessed with the opportunity to foster children. It allowed me to see the impact we can have on God's children, when we become His hands and Feet. -Steven
